Lingoda logo

I use Lingoda to improve my speaking skills in French, German and Spanish. They provide classes that are online, interactive and available 24/7 for all levels. Group classes have max. 5 people, so you get lots of speaking practice.

Pimsleur logo

I used Pimsleur to start learning Mandarin Chinese in a structured way. It gets you speaking from day 1, and is a very effective way to start learning vocabulary, grammar and the basics of a language.

Rosetta Stone logo

I used Rosetta Stone to ease myself into learning Spanish in a fun and structured fun. It uses immersive methods to help you start learning a language. I also love their beginner-friendly short stories that complement the course content, so you can start consuming the real language.

Anki logo

I use to create and review flashcards for vocabulary and grammar patterns that I learn.

LingQ logo

I use LingQ to generate interactive lessons, where I can tap on unknown words to see instant translations and save for later. I read beginner-friendly short stories, plus import articles, YouTube videos and eBooks.

iTalki logo

I use iTalki to speak with native speakers to practice my conversational skills, improve my fluency and get corrections on the mistakes I make, which helps me notice the areas in my language that are still lacking.

Short Stories by Olly Richards books

I use the "Short Stories" books and audiobooks by Olly Richards to start reading in foreign languages. They are graded readers, meaning they have been written specifically for language learners and use simplified language and common vocabulary.
